Tendinitis (also known as tendonitis) occurs when one of the thick, fibrous cords of tissue that connect your muscles to your bones – your tendons – becomes irritates or inflamed. Symptoms of tendinitis vary, depending on the severity of the condition and where in the body it manifests itself, but it’s generally very painful.
Regardless of how minor you believe your tendinitis to be, it’s important to seek treatment for it immediately. While an Austin chiropractor like me can use massage and other non-invasive therapies to treat most cases of tendinitis, severe ones may require surgery to resolve.
